Haydn – Haydn Snape, been in the industry for 6-7 years, background more in TradFi. Own and operate SSG Management, blockchain business incubator. I’ll be acting as CEO of Kooopa until we find a far more capable person 😄

Joseph – Hi all, I am a former research scientist living in Florida, USA with a background in mechanical engineering. I got into the crypto space in 2017 when I met @haydnsnape and we launched another project together. I’ll be operating as the Kooopa COO, and am excited to answer all your questions today!

CryptoNationIN – Y’all seems really interesting guys according to your respective introduction.
Now, please give us a brief introduction about Kooopa ($KOO)?

Haydn – I’ll go again.

CryptoNationIN – Would be nice.

Haydn – Kooopa is all about democratising the gaming industry, be it for gamers, developers, artists, creators etc. And from a crypto perspective I’m aiming for it to be one of the few projects that actually ships quality products and features, so that we get the token actually being utilised.

Joseph – One of the aspects of the project I’m most excited about is creating video games or partnering with game developers to make $KOO the in-game currency for a number of online games. This will provide real utility and allow gamers to take loot from one game to help benefit them in another.

Haydn – I’ll add a bit more.
We’ve also got a pretty badass brand.
Kooopa is a derivation of Koopa the character from Mario Kart.
You know, the blue shell with spikes that knocks all the other players off the track.

Sumit – The Kooopa Token is an ERC20 standard token deployed on matic/polygon network(for scaling and gas issues on eth network). The vast ethereum ecosystem and the freedom of development it provides makes it a obvious choice to deploy such a project on.
We will be leveraging the decentralization aspect of blockchains to give the gaming community back to gamers where it belongs and not in the hands of some giant corporation in the middle making all the profits.
We have been working with various ideas around the developers and gamers that can make this possible by means of, on-chain treasury, community based governance, integration into existing gaming ecosystem and much more.

Pranav – Assuring the decentralisation aspect of the project, to ensure just a few people does not control the network. We have implemented number of ideas like whale shock safety and txn limits. No single wallet can own more than 1% of the total supply there are limits to the amount of txns you can perform to guard against big crashes, these are already implemented and we’ll keep working on it to make it more secure And stable project.

CryptoNationIN – It’s all about the gamers and the game developers. Right?

Haydn – It’s about all creators.

Sumit – Indeed, the gamers invest in a game and the developers are responsible to develop a game with kooopa features in it. As the game gets popular only the gamers and developers earn the profit.

Joseph – Correct, our target is the gaming industry, and while that may seem like a niche community, a recent survey has found that over 66% of the US population has played a video game at some point.

Haydn – Developers will profit by being able to crowdfund their ideas, and token holders who stake/bring game ideas to life will earn a return.
$KOO will also be the fuel of our NFT marketplace: Kooopa Kapture.

CryptoNationIN – How will Kooopa achieve building a good and profitable gaming network?

Sumit – 1.we have integrated DeFi features with a twist of gaming, you can earn NFT’s, tickets to tournaments, discounts on games and such.
2. We have a NFT betting platform, that gamers can bet on live tournaments and support there fav team.
3. we have a decentralized crowdfunding platform.
4. We plan to integrate NFTs with these games events to capture the most amazing movements in the event and make it permanent on a blockchain, gives a whole new meaning to events history.
and these are just some of the features we have been working on!

CryptoNationIN – What is the most unique thing that KOOOPA brings to the blockchain community?

Haydn – That would be Kooopa Kapture.

Sumit – Definitely the NFT features, like kooopa kapture, NFT moments, decetralised NFT betting.

Haydn – Kooopa Kapture will enable gamers to capture in game moments and convert them into NFTs
This is powerful use case for NFTs not yet seen in the space.

Pranav – Defi variant, we offer more than just earnings on your coin, we offer actual utility that gamers can use and benefit from; like staking for tournaments tickets/participation, exclusive discounts for token holders just to name a few.

CryptoNationIN – What does Kooopa have that other crypto/gaming projects don’t?

Joseph – Well, as Haydn mentioned above, the Kooopa Kapture would be a novel idea, which hasn’t been done yet in the crypto/gaming space.

Haydn – Another feature we’re excited about is our browser rewards wallet.
Think Honey, but crypto and specifically for online game stores.
$KOO will power a rewards system where shoppers can earn ‘tokens-back’ on purchases through participating online stores.
The first store we have partnered with is www.trezn.com
The rewards wallet will be a browser extension compatible with Brave and Mozilla.
We all know the success Honey has had, so imagine a token being exchanged on a similar scale.
We hope this will also be a mechanism for mass adoption as non-crypto users who shop at participating stores will be incentivised to create a wallet and sign up.

Twitter Questions

Q1. How does Kooopa stand out from the numerous gaming projects in existence already and how exactly does users earn rewards on Kooopa network playing their favorite games?
Sumit – Existing projects are either working on creating their own game and implementing a token for it making the token only work in their ecosystem,and the one which are working towards community tokens doesn’t have such unique and bold ideas, thats how kooopa stands apart from others.
Pranav – Kooopa will be integrated with these games, and instead of having a seperate in game currency developers will use $koo and build events that rewards users for playing! Thats besides from kooopa kapture which not only just lets you mint nfts but also trade it on platforms like open sea.

Q2. Global gaming platforms and ecosystems saw a surge in growth but was stifled by a series of inefficiencies, high barriers to entry and stumbling blocks for new entrants, challenging the industry’s current centralized monopoly .. How did Kooopa solve these problems?
Haydn – Whilst we recognise the importance of partnerships, and integrating with legacy platforms/ecosystems, our primary focus will be shipping real products and features that users can use straight away
If the products are good the users will come, the community will grow, and deals will come
So we’ll navigate around barriers by creating our own.
Sumit – For the monopolistic nature of the ecosystem we have developed multiple solutions:
1. An on chain Treasury that’s filled with every transaction on the network, these Funds from the treasury are community controlled and is only deployed by the gamers to developers who have intresting proposals and requests for grants, makes the whole thing crowdfunded.
2. we Have a Fan token implementation for creators looking for bigger investments, creators can mint token on our platforms and sell it to gamers to raise funds, these tokens then can be used to have a stake in the creators project by the fans.
this is how some of the ways we plan to democratize gaming again!
Joseph – And, additionally, with regards to the high costs, we will be using matic to confront the high gas fees. Also, we may plan to jump to another blockchain in the future to combat the high transaction fees that are endemic to the current marketplace.

Q3. With Kooopa, we can easily convert gaming streams or images into tradable NFTs. So, with this tradable NFTs, how it will be valuable in the market and where can we trade this tradable NFTs?
Sumit – There are spam resistant features as to the amount of NFTS one can mint, which forces people to choose good value content, ofc not all of the NFTS will have good value, but we need that range of varied price NFTS. NFT’s will have value with the history/ intensity attached to the captured moment.
The NFTS will have erc721 standard which makes it tradeable on all compatible eth platforms like opensea and such.

Q4. Kooopa Token aims to level the cryptogaming space with genuine utility. What are the main differences between Kooopa Token’s architecture and other ICO cosystems built on scams and empty promises? What has Koopa Token done to meet real unmet needs? What are its unique use cases?
Hayden – $KOO will be used to create a fair-play ecosystem for indie developers. Currently, barriers prevent great games from finding success. Our smart-contract studio will allow the players to Kickstart and invest in worthwhile ideas. Developers receive funding for design and marketing, while players receive a percentage of the profits. It will be the first player-driven gaming studio, and every game will accelerate the Koopa token economy. Games published on the Koopa platform will be available to purchase using $KOO. They’ll use $KOO as premium in-game currency. The positive feedback loop creates constant demand for the crypto and endless value for holders.

Q5. On Kooopa’s Litepaper, I learned that the network will maintain an on-chain Treasury on the blockchain, can you please tell me what the sole purpose of implementing this Treasury in regards to Kooopa’s community? As this Treasury will be funded by fees, why is it limited to 1%?
Pranav – An on chain Treasury that’s filled with every transaction on the network, these Funds from the treasury are community controlled and is only deployed by the gamers to developers who have intresting proposals and requests for grants, makes the whole thing crowdfunded. Every decisions about the networks ecosystem will be done by community voting, the developers will intially set the rules until the governance feature is live on the chain. Once the governance is implemented the network will be self sustaining and it wouldn’t need companies oversight much!

Q6. I read that smart contracts guarantee that a founder can never sell more than 5% of their total tokens at a time. What is the purpose of this long-term action within the Koopa Token protocols? How will this methodology make your project grow and be profitable in the future?
Sumit – We have capped the supply with 1% per wallet, and this is our ‘rugpull resistant’ feature and to ensure that the community stays democratic.
Joseph – Well I think the purpose is clearly to inspire confidence for the Kooopa community that us founders don’t plan to sell or dump the tokens. We are in this for the long-term!

Q7. Who are the target audience for Kooopa and is it possible not just to play but to earn something in your game? Are there plans to attract and reward early adopters of Kooopa gaming platform?
Joseph – 1.) I think our target audience is anyone with a device that is capable of playing a video game, so we have billions of potential users.
2.) yes, players on the Kooopa games will be able to earn real money by playing certain games. Imagine an MMORPG where you can cash in your loot for real-world money.

Q8. What kind of partnerships with different projects/platforms/protocols can we expect from Kooopa Token in the future? Could you give us some examples of how other projects can leverage Kooopa Token?
Joseph – Well, I’m sure Haydn can add to this, but I believe that partnerships with game developers will be crucial. It would be ideal to get $KOO as the in-game currency for a large number of games
We have been working on partnerships in other industries as well.
Haydn – That’s right, we plan to onboard up to 10 indie game developers in the next 12 weeks
Given our use of the Polygon (Matic) L2 solution we also plan to open dialogue with their team, as a way of establishing a deeper relationship.
One last thing, for our $KOO rewards wallet we plan to open talks with GameStop.

Telegram Questions

Q1. I want to invest, in your project. but I doubt it a little. Can you please assure us that unlike, other scam projects there is no possibility of fraud?
Sumit – We have less than 1% token allocation per founder wallet and most of that will locked until the governance is out, no chance of rugpull.

Q2. It’s no secret that the gaming ecosystem is terribly competitive, even in the blockchain sphere. How does Kooopa plan to get noticed? What strategies do you have in mind?
Joseph – That’s where our branding comes in. $KOO will be marketed as a meme token similar to Doge. We plan to introduce a variety of comics and memes for the community to build upon and it should allow us to get some viral attention on platforms like Reddit.

Q3. From what I understood Kooopa is building a community driven game network, not an actual game, right? I would like to know then with what types of games they will include within this network? will they only be crypto games?
Sumit – Any and all kind with existing publishers as well like EA and rockstar.

Q4. Why you choose ERC-20 chain to built $KOO token? Having networks with a lower fee in transactions such as BEP-20, TRC-20, What benefits does ERC-20 have that the others don’t?
Sumit – We used erc20 standard for the vast ecosystem of eth and its tools, others system lacked the userbase. and to solve the gas and other eth network issues we used matic/polygon L2 solutions.

Q5. Do you have AUDIT certificates, or are you working to AUDIT your project, to make it more secure and reliable?
Sumit – We have yet to deploy our main contracts audit will followed after that.

Q6. I noticed that players will be able to use their Koopa Coins to invest in games. Can you tell us a little bit about what this will be about? Will these games be developed by you or by the community itself? How much will the return on investment be?
Joseph – These games will come in all varieties. We can have mini-games like Candy Crush, strategy games like Clash of Clans, or even MMORPG’s. Some of the games will be developed by us, but the majority will be partnerships with other game developers. I’ll let the others jump in here if I missed anything.

Q7. Could you give an example of what would be the real unmet needs that Kooopa Token would be able to solve?
Sumit – Removing publishers in middle like EA, Bethesda and such that suck the profits from underdeveloped games and dont even bat an eye.

Q8. Does Kooopa have plans to use a marketing strategy such as collaborating with youtubers, influencers, or professional e-sports players so that your gaming network reaches a large scale?
Haydn – Yes we plan to partner with leading Twitch streamers.

Q9. I’m really not a fan of gaming, how else can I then get project out of Kooopa and generate revenue from it?
Sumit – By token-backs, passive earnings from staking and such, you really have to love gaming to fully utilize the token’s features.

Q10. Why is Kooopa token deployed on matic/Polygon network, what advantages does this have?
How can I convert my gaming streams and images into tradable NFTs and Is it possible to earn money playing my favourite games with the help of Kooopa?
Pranav – Matic polygon network is L2 network for Ethereum that reduces transaction fees for users who are looking forward to transfer cryptocurrencies.
You can convert gaming streams and images by Kooopa kapture. Its is just as simple as taking a screenshot.

Q11. I want to invest, in your project. but I doubt it a little. Can you please assure us that unlike, other scam projects there is no possibility of fraud?
Joseph – Yes, this project is not a scam. We are happy to verify or identities or do whatever necessary to prove to you our honest intentions: taking $KOO to the moon!🚀

Q12. Are you going to be suitable for both professionals and newbies
Or are you only for elite investors?
Haydn – We’re open to all investors so long as you consider yourself sophisticated.

Q13. From what I understood Kooopa is building a community driven game network, not an actual game, right? I would like to know then with what types of games they will include within this network? will they only be crypto games?
Joseph – All types.
We aren’t limiting ourselves to a single genre.

Q14. Could you give an example of what would be the real unmet needs that Kooopa Token would be able to solve?
Haydn – Barriers to entry for indie developers, small content creators not being able to build a community and monetise their content.

Q15. Can you explain the anti-whale mechanisms that Kooopa will implement? Will they be permanent? Or can they be modified depending on how the project progresses?
Sumit – Currently there is a 1% cap, and the cap will never increase. No wallet can hold more than 1% tokens and there is also a transfer limit per wallet per day! to withstand against strong volatility NO FUD is gonna shake us down.

Q16. How strong is your team? Many projects starts with good impression and later abandoned the project. What makes your project different than others? Please share with us!
Haydn – We’re made up of senior consultants, CEOs, and CMO’s from the gaming, TradFi and DeFi spaces. We also have a team of wicked smart developers based out of India.

Q17. A project, especially a game project, is nothing without a strong community behind it. How do you plan to build it? Many projects with very good ideas fail at this point unfortunately
Joseph – One of our strategies is to utilize viral meme marketing similar to Doge.

Q18. I’m really not a fan of gaming, how else can I then get project out of Kooopa and generate revenue from it?
Joseph – This isn’t just about the traditional “gamer” industry. Do you play any games on your phone, like Words with Friends? We plan to build a wide variety of games for all types of people.

Q19. When doing some research I saw that the Kooopa Platform will allow gamers and content creators to create their own fan tokens, yet little is known about the advantages the token brings, what are the benefits of being long-term Fan Token holders? What projects can fan tokens fund?
Sumit – A creator has to list all the projects they require funding for, they sell their fan tokens at a certain price (the formul will later be community decided), Now the respected fans can buy said tokens and stake it in creators project for a percent of the projects profit, all of this will be handled by the kooopa decentralised platform.

Q20. Where does the project name come from? What does it mean for you and why did you choose that name for your project?
Pranav – Kooopa is a derivation of koopa character from Mario. The one who knocks out all other players off.

Q21. What profit potential do you think Kooopa will leave behind? It is extremely profitable to be part of this project, why?
Joseph – We can’t guarantee any profit, but this project has a lot of potential and us founders are in it for the long-term.

Q22. How do you handle the communication issue, how are you aware of the needs and opinions of the community? And vice versa, how can the community be informed of what they are doing?
Sumit – We are a group of veteran gamers and we know the problems community has been facing since the inception of gaming, thats we are developing a governance program that will literally control all the major decisions of the network without anyone in the middle not even the founding memebers!

Pranav – Off- chain scaling mechanism. It allows assets to move from one chain to another.
