Dear Community,
Thanks all for participating in our Project Anatha AMA. We really appreciate all your support. There were really good and thoughtful questions that were asked. For those who missed our AMA, this blog post is for you.
Introduction!
CryptoNationIN Admin – Hey guys! We are now live with Anatha team🙏
Jeff – hey hey!
Steve – Helloooo!
Joe – Hey all, thanks for coming out to chat.
CryptoNationIN Admin – Thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the Introduction question.
Can you please introduce yourself and give our community a bit of an understanding of what kind of business background you come from and how you have applied it to your roles within Anatha? @jeffglazer, Steve Glavin & Joe.
Steve – My name is Steve Glavin and I’m currently the CTO of Anatha. My business background is in the Enterprise Development space for over 30 years. I got involved with Crypto since 2015 and started working with Anatha in 2017. My experience ranges from Enterprise Events software to FinTech and now Blockchain. I’m the old man on the team! 😜
Jeff – My name is Jeff, CIO of Anatha. I’ve been in the IT industry for over 20 years, owned and managed an InfoSec company for 17 years, and have been involved with (aka “obsessed with”) crypto since 2013. Since I first discovered Bitcoin and crypto I’ve been eager to get more involved and start building things in this space and take advantage of all the exciting new tech!
CryptoNationIN Admin – And most experienced I feel 😄
Joe – Hey folks, my name is Joe Janiga I am a software engineer by trade, I have a formal education in graphic design for web. I started doing freelance work in the late 90s. My first contract was a web application and I needed to get my parents to sign my working papers so I even take it! Since then I’ve got around 15 more years experience working on around software, websites, applications, databases. My career has taken me through the fields of analytics, marketing, and most recently about 5 years in finance. All of which has helped me get a really strong sense of the software development lifecycle.
CryptoNationIN Admin – Great! Thanks for the detailed introduction. 💯👌
Steve – Well, this team has to be the smartest that I’ve ever worked with and I learn something new every day it seems! It keeps me young!
Twitter Questions
Q1. ANATHA, wants to provide a self-sustaining universal basic income, so what strategy are they using to make that income work and be stable over time?
Steve – We are creating a self sustaining “UBI like” system that is backed by the attention, engagement, and information created by our user base. It’s less of a traditional UBI and more of a reimagining of our current systems to simply include us, the users and the capital flow that such systems create. This is what we mean when we say our users are, “Partners not Products”.
Jeff – The core of our network is the Anatha Torus – the master contract which redistributes rewards proportionally back to every HRA holder. Beginning with HRA registrations themselves, the cost for each HRA subscription (1 ANATHA) goes directly to the Torus. Similarly, all transaction fees on the Anatha network feed back to the Torus, as opposed to paying miners or validators like you see on other networks. 50% of all economic activity that feeds the Torus will get redistributed back to the HRA holders. As Anatha grows, more and more services will continue to feed the Anatha Torus.
Q2. You recently launched Anatha Desktop App v0.2, featuring 6 assets, besides $ANATHA token. What was the criteria used for selecting these assets? Any plans to launch Mobile app? What are plans to include other assets and enable cross-chain features?
Jeff – We have mobile on the way, plan to add many other assets, and the Cosmos Stargate upgrade with IBC functionality is at the top of our priority list once it’s fully released and we’ve done sufficient testing. Currently we built our HRA protocol to be an omniversal protocol. That is to say right now when you use the Anatha Nexus Wallet and register your HRA, you can use link that HRA to your Anatha address AS WELL AS your Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, etc. addresses. Anyone using an Anatha wallet can send tokens to another HRA holder over various chains. We are already providing a layer of cross chain interoperability within our wallet! And Stargate/IBC will open the door for lots of other cross chain compatibility.
Steve – We are agnostic on this matter and intend to include any and all working tokens into our ecosystem. We believe it is not our job to select for you but rather to give you the tools to navigate the overall Crypto ecosystem as easily and gracefully as possible. You will soon see DASH, Litecoin and more coming soon!
Q3. Mostly projects now use Ethereum blockchain, but why does Anatha choose to build on Cosmos chain? What are the benefits of building on Cosmos compare to Ethereum?
Steve – While we have a tremendous amount of love and respect for Ethereum, the devs, and its community, we discovered early on that while Ethereum is a great platform for many use cases, it would not provide the necessary infrastructure that Anatha needed in order for the vision to come to fruition.
Jeff – Slow transaction times, high fees, and PoW consensus…and in it’s current form Ethereum does not offer the level a granular control over the network rules and tokenomics that we needed to achieve our goals. Cosmos/Tendermint’s high throughput, PoS based infrastructure and promise of cross chain interoperability along with a best in class team of developers and thriving community we found that it was everything Anatha needed to fulfill its vision, from a technical standpoint and beyond.
Q4. I am interested in the appearance of anatha application features. Will there be a new feature release in the near future besides the swap feature? And what are the rewards for users who use the features in the Anatha application?
Steve – Yes, we will posting our roadmap soon and there will be new features including the Swap. For example, we are releasing an On Chain Referral program that will allow you to refer people and get rewards. Other features include decentralized messaging, the ability to transfer and sell HRA’s and more to come.
We also want to get community feedback on features that YOU think will be valuable! Also, we are testing mobile internally and would love to get some early adopters to help us test and give feedback as well. Let us know if you’re interested.
Jeff – All economic inputs that feed the Anatha Torus will return 50% back to all HRA holders. While we plan to continue building new features we will also be releasing the Anatha SDK which will allow others to build on the Anatha infrastructure and provide additional economic activity which will fuel the Torus.
Q5. Does the project have a public Github?
Joe – You can find our organization on github here: https://github.com/anathatech
As well as our ERC20 contract for the wANATHA Token: https://github.com/anathatech/wANATHA-ERC20-Contract
And the Project Anatha core validator and cli application code: https://github.com/anathatech/project-anatha.
Telegram Questions
Q6. What does Anatha mean, what is the origin of this name?
Jeff – Anatha Pindika, a chief disciple of Buddha, known as “one who gives alms to the unprotected” or “feeder of the poor”.
Q7. What important milestones does ANATHA aim to achieve by the end of this year and in the future? How will it help you and how will ANATHA be successful in 2020 and in the future?
Steve – Just a quick look at the Q4 roadmap:
Q4 2020
- Trustless on Chain wAnatha to Anatha Swap
- On-chain HRA referral system
- Anatha Wallet Torus Page and Metrics
- Anatha Wallet – Add Tokens to the Wallet – Ongoing Initiative
- Phase 0 – Anatha Wallet Mobile (OS & Android) Alpha Internal
And yes, we have enough funds to allow us to add new features and build the community for some time.
Q8. I am a professional vulnerability finder on the web, do you think Your system is secure enough from hackers? Does your project have a program that rewards individual vulnerability detection of the system?
Jeff – We plan to open a bounty program soon and would love for you to get involved! Please stay tuned.
Q9. I am a professional vulnerability finder on the web, do you think Your system is secure enough from hackers? Does your project have a program that rewards individual vulnerability detection of the system?
Joe – We’ve also undergone several security reviews from reputable firms. You can see their review in their public reports: https://github.com/HalbornSecurity/PublicReports/
Q10. At the moment , where you are focusing right now ? building and developing product or getting customers and users, or partnerships ? Could you share it?
Jeff – All of it, in fact! We have an extensive team and while our devs are working hard on building we have our business development department working on partnerships and expansion.
Q11. What are the core features that create the value of YOUR CRYPTO? What does YOUR CRYPTO have that other projects don’t??
Steve – One of the key differentiators that sets our crypto apart is our Torus which is a regenerative system.
Q12. Hello, about safety and security, how will the team resolve if there is an unfortunate security problem?Has the team thought of a workaround for this problem?
Joe – Thanks for the question Alan. So far we have been lucky enough that all of the issues we’ve seen have been minor or easily solvable. Part of that is because when we architected the Anatha systems we took a security first viewpoint. We have a team of like minded software professionals as well as a partnership with a dedicated security firm.
Q13. As I come from one of the countries with the longest and deepest economic crisis ever experienced in these decades, what message can you give us to believe in this world and how Anatha can support us to get out of this situation by our own means?
Steve – Blanca, great question! I am probably not the most qualified to answer this (since it’s not technical in nature) but I will give it my best shot. We are starting with creating a ecosystem that is inclusive and doesn’t require KYC to get an HRA, start getting rewards and to join our community. Also, we have some initiatives to give away Anatha to help onboard users that don’t have the resources to join.
Q14. What advantages do you get as a platform by relating your token to all aspects and products of the Anatha PROTOCOL ecosystem?
Jeff – The HRA protocol is a foundational layer to the Anatha ecosystem. Registering an HRA allows one to create digital personhood which is fundamental to participation. Once you have meaningful personhood within the ecosystem you may participate and take advantage of everything Anatha has to offer.
Q15. Is this project NON PROFIT?
Steve – No. Project Anatha is a DAO and Anatha, Inc. is a corporation. We are releasing a social impact report that may help you better understand our project. Stay tuned since that report will be more comprehensive.
Q16. What is the goal of your project?
Joe – Hey thanks for the question Moises.
You can get a really good idea of what we are doing here on our teaser video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gzCHRRB0e4&feature=youtu.be.
Q17. A lot of scam projects out there, guess what guarantees that your project is different from them?
Steve – We have been around for a long time, have kept our word so far and will continue to do what we said we will do. I would imagine that we will get more community confidence as we continue to do that Qnosir.
Q18. What is the structure of the company, is it a decentralised, open sourced protocol where everybody can contribute? If so, how does the governance plan on being handled?
Jeff – Project Anatha is a decentralized open source platform that will allow others to contribute. We plan to roll out the decentralized governance features next year and will be releasing more information about that as we get closer.
Q19. What does Anatha Team think about the arrival of Ethereum 2.0? I think all the projects try to get the best out of it.
Jeff – We’re very excited and look forward to ETH2.0!
Q20. I have read that Anatha torus is a set of integrated apps that are powerful enough for professionals and easy enough for novices. but if it’s hard for professionals Can you explain how easy it is for novices?
Steve – Ha! Is that a trick question Putri! 😀 One example is the one to many accounts feature in our Desktop and Mobile Wallet. A novice might just create one account (since that’s what most wallets offer) and a professional may require multiple accounts to manage crypto of family and/or clients.
Q21. What is biggest focus for Anatha at the moment??? and does Anatha has any plans to keep up with this productivity in the future?
Jeff – While we’re very excited that we just launched our mainnet, now the real work begins! We have lots of work ahead as we continue to build out all the features in our roadmap as well as numerous initiatives in the pipeline. Our devs and Business Development department are all very hard at work.
Q22. Can you provide some details about “DeHRA” module please, which seems to make crypto life easier as users got tired of dealing with long, hard to manage, confusing addresses?
Joe – Thanks for the question – the Decentralized Human Readable Address module allows Anatha users to obtain an address today. You spend an Anatha token to register a unique name to your Anatha address. Through the Nexus wallet your token addresses for our other tokens are automatically connected to your HRA. And that is it, others can now send you tokens to your HRA instead of your long form crypto addresses. For more information on how it works in the Anatha Nexus application you can refer to our gitbooks.
https://project-anatha.gitbook.io/anatha-desktop-wallet-documentation/register-an-hra-human-readable-address.
Q23. How was the decentralized Human-readable address system (DeHRA) developed and how exactly is digital personality implemented through the Human Protocol?
Steve – Great question ClaraBella! The DeHRA was developed on-chain using a fork of Cosmos/Tendermint and you get digital personhood from registering your HRA. That’s how you participate in the Torus. We are working on other features of personhood or Digital Identity as well.
Q24. As I know, elegant distribution model will go back to anyone in the system who has registed a HRA with the network. Is there any other benefits for subscribers and any Conditions else for elegant distribution?
Steve – Yes. Savings and Referrals are two more ways. More to come Nguyen!
Q25. What is the difference between $ ANATHA and $ wANATHA tokens? What are the advantages of each of these tokens?
Jeff – Great question! So wANATHA and ANATHA are virtually the same. wANATHA is our representation of a Wrapped ANATHA token. wANATHA was created as an ERC20 token that is redeemable at a 1:1 scale for ANATHA. Since Uniswap and other AMM’s exist almost exclusively on Ethereum and require an ETH based token, we locked up a set amount of ANATHA tokens (300mil) and created an equal amount of ERC20 based wANATHA. This way we could have a community access event for those members that are already familiar with Uniswap and DeFi. We will be launching the redemption contract very soon which will allow anyone to exchange the wANATHA for ANATHA and start participating in the Anatha ecosystem.
Thank you to Joe Janiga (Chief Software Engineer), Steve Glavin (Chief Technology Officer) & Jeff Glazer (Chief Information Officer), and Community for participating in the AMA. Have a nice day
